About

Dr. Reynolds been practicing as a psychologist in since 1998.  His doctoral degree was in Clinical Psychology from the University of British Columbia.  He has worked in a range of settings, including private practice and at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital, and most of his practice has focused on children and youth.  At the Glenrose, he was part of an assessment clinic for many years, which helped develop his skills in assessment of children and youth.  He has also consulted with several Alberta school boards, providing assessments and consultation to classrooms and teachers.  His goal is to help students reach their potential, and to give parents and others working with the student with a thorough understanding of the student’s needs as well as strengths.

Dr. Reynolds trained as a generalist but his practice has taken on a focus in certain areas over the years.  He focuses on psychological assessment, workshop presentations, and therapy related to anxiety and repetitive thoughts/behaviours.  In the last couple of years, he has increased his work with church pastors and staff, finding that this matches with his own background and interests.

Dr. Reynolds prefers to take a family-centered, evidence-based, and short-term approach when working with children and youth. Typically, a part of these sessions (often, the most important part) involves working with the parent, who can provide interventions on an in-the-moment basis in the home.

Helping others to reach their potential.

Obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
